A Darlington nursery manager recently attended an event in Downing Street together with a number of influential individuals across the early years sector.
Rachael Lowes, Childcare Operations Manager from Maidendale Nursery, based in Firthmoor Community Centre visited No. 10 Downing Street in recognition of the work she does at the nursery, and that her team do in order to support families and early years provision in Darlington.
Rachael was nominated by the town’s MP, Peter Gibson under the category of “Giving every child the best start in life”
Maidendale Nursery offers high quality, affordable childcare to meet the needs of parents with variable working patterns. They also support parents and carers who may be out of work the opportunity to access training and qualifications.
Speaking about attending the event Rachael said “It was a pleasure to attend and a fantastic opportunity to be able to gain further skills and information that can be implemented within our setting”.
The event, which was led by David Johnson OBE MP, Minister for Children and Families celebrated significant contributions which have been made by early years professionals since the pandemic and recognised those such as Racheal who have contributed in the local community.
