Yesterday (11.3.24) Darlington’s MP declared that he was continuing to take the fight to companies ripping off drivers in Darlington.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Peter stated:
“I will continue to campaign to stop Sainsburys, Asda and Morrisons ripping off the drivers of Darlington and end the outrageous prices that my constituents are being charged which are far higher than even the petrol on nearby motorways, and indeed significantly more expensive than nearby towns where the competition from an independent retailer keeps them in check. This rip off must end and I will continue to fight for fairness for drivers.”
This is not the first time that Peter has raised this issue and commenting afterwards he said:
“This rip off has got to end and end now. It is totally unfair, unjustified and is damaging the pockets of the hard-working people of Darlington. I will continue to call out Sainsburys, Asda and Morrisons until they stop taking the mick and cut their petrol prices.”
