Peter Gibson, MP for Darlington has launched his annual Christmas Card competition this week and is inviting children from across the town to submit their entries.
The winner of the competition and two runners up will have their designs featured on the MPs official Christmas Card which will be sent to community groups, public service organisations, and local charities across Darlington, as well as the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet.
The winning design will be photographed with the Prime Minister.
There will also be prize for the winner and for two runners up, whose name, age and school will be printed on the card. The winner will also be presented with a trophy.
To enter the competition the artists must be Primary or Junior School pupils.
All entries should be submitted on A4 paper in felt tip pen. For reproduction purposes we're asking artists to avoid using glitter or sticking anything on to their pictures. No digital designs please. The following details should be clearly stated on the back of their artwork:

Name of School
Whether you want to feature wintry outdoor scenes, Christmas trees or something else entirely, you’re encouraged to be as creative as you like.
